Primates have always felt familiar to me.
Not just because they look like us, but because of how they behave. 
 
Photographing primates across India and Indonesia strengthened that familiarity. I saw them not just in forests, but also at their edges, in plantations, near roads, and in places where people and wildlife are learning to coexist. Many of the species in this calendar now survive in these shared spaces.
 
These images are my way of slowing down and paying attention. Of looking at them not as subjects, but as fellow inhabitants of the same landscapes. As the months pass, these faces shall begin to feel familiar to you, too.
